Star Harmonies Logo

Star Harmonies first started as an adult choir with a difference and Musical Theatre Holiday workshops for kids. Every summer since 2012 we have continued to provide holiday workshops for children in the West Lothian area and we have even branched out to Fife. We have also held holiday workshops during the Easter, October & Christmas holidays. One-day-wonder workshops are our new speciality where we will choose a theme and put on a workshop as a form of childcare during in-service days. We have had lots of brilliant themes over the years from "Oliver Meets Annie" to "What The Hairspray's Wrong With Being 13", Pitch Perfect to The Greatest Showman and lots more.

Our biggest challenge to date took place in Summer 2019 when we produced Peter Pan Jr in just one week. Starz attended from 10:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday and by the end of the week we had a full scale show with sound, light, cyc backdrop, costumes and microphones. An amazing opportunity for all involved.

We are available to come into Schools to work with individual classes, your choir, or even your whole school. Previous ideas from other schools have been to take a book that the class is working on and for Aimie to come in and teach some songs and dances themed around the book (Matilda, Seussical, Mary Poppins). We are also available to come into your school and direct your whole school show. Yes - you read correctly! We will teach the songs, the dance moves, the scenes, we will even assist with costuming and helping to source backdrops.

Please get in touch with Aimie by emailing [email protected] for more information.

Tap Classes - Led by Aimie Trueman

We are absolutely delighted to be proud owners of 4 6ft x 4ft portable mirrors and 2 1.6m x 10m vinyl Tap Floors. We would like to gather interest for a new tap class for after the current COVID-19 pandemic is over.

The classes we would be looking to run would be aimed at fun technique/routine based classes with the emphasis on "Tap for Musical Theatre" rather than working through grades. Classes would be split into different ability levels for children (Beginner & Intermediate/Advanced) and a fun adult class for those 18+.
